Pods CMS TinyMCE Input Helper Link Functionality Doesn't Work

0

I'm unable to add/edit links with the Pods TinyMCE Input helper. I'm using it within a PODs UI plugin. Has anyone else had issues with this?

The update should be in 1.9.7, check it out and let me know if all is well.

Which version of WordPress, Pods, and TinyMCE Package are you using? If you haven't removed the old version of the TinyMCE Package (it came with a separate plugin too that you can safely remove), then you can remove those "input_tinymce..." helpers now. Then go to http://podscms.org/packages/tinymce-for-pods/ and get the new package. It doesn't have any files you need to install now, so just choose the new "input/tinymce..." helper you'd like to use on your column(s) in the column editor for the specific Pod(s) you want it on.

Let me know if the latest version has any problems, it's using a completely new TinyMCE API that was built by Andrew Ozz, the lead developer in charge of the TinyMCE editor code for WordPress. It's included in the 1.9.6.x versions of Pods, but hopefully it makes it's way into WP 3.3 if we get enough +1's on the patch.

Scott, Here's what I'm using:

PODs 1.9.6.3 PODs UI 0.7.4 WordPress 3.1.3

I have installed the latest package, dropped the previous helpers, and uninstalled the previous helper plugin, but I'm still having the issue with the link functionality not working.

I'm also using the TinyMCE Advanced plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tinymce-advanced/) to customize which buttons display in the editor, but I disabled it and I'm still having the same issue.

The only other thing that might possibly affect it would be the fact that I'm using an editor-style.css stylesheet to display my typography styles from within the editor, but that's OOTB WordPress functionality, so I would think that would be supported.

The link functionality in the visual tiny-mce editor works fine when editing posts or pages, I'm only having the issue when editing a POD field.

Hope that helps! Thanks!

Is this happening in the WP Admin area or on a frontend form?

I'm experiencing this exact same issue. I'll stay tuned for a fix. I have the exact same config as @ckpicker except I DO NOT have the TinyMCE advanced plugin installed.

Andrew has provided me a bugfix version of his editor. I will be pushing it out tomorrow morning, so be on the lookout for it. Thanks for your patience!
