Is upgrading necessary?
I'm currently using V1.8.7 on three sites but I notice it's now up to 1.9.1. Is there any real need to upgrade? The only reason I generally upgrade (unless it's for extra features) is for security fixes but it doesn't look as though there have been any since 1.8.3.
I'm also very nervous about upgrading - obviously I'll back up my site and DB but is it straight forward to revert back to the previous version of the plugin if required?

And on another note is is possible to download previous versions of pods? I've tinkered a fair bit with the original version and so I'd like to refer to the original version to see what changes I've actually made.
While you should always run the latest verion of pods, the last few upgrades have all been bug fixes and adding features.
You can find old versions here:

If I did the upgrade and then there was an issue would it just be a simple case of uploading and therefore rewriting the newer version with the old one?
