Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why I am unable to install Pods CMS into one of my Wordpress sites? Have installed with no problems on various other sites using the same hosting provider. Have tried install from 'add new plugin' and also tried to copy the folder directly into the 'plugins' folder. Both have not worked.
The site has been installed in it's own /cms/ directory with .htaccess and index.php moved to the root. Could this be the cause of the install issue?
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: str_split() in /nfs/c01/h14/mnt/37751/domains/tfcglobal.co.uk/html/cms/wp-content/plugins/pods/init.php on line 27
Hope someone can help/
Thanks

That's a PHP5 function, are you sure this domain is running PHP5?
Ah, yes thats it! - TY
Hmm, that's disappointing - I'm getting exactly the same error message when attempting to activate the plugin, but I'm already using PHP5 (5.2.9). I'm using WP3.0 for what it's worth. Did upgrading to PHP5 fix your problem, Jysta?
Aha, well, not disappointing for long! It seems that when the server info was telling me 'PHP version: 5.2.9' what it actually meant was 'The server is capable of interpreting php files with PHP5, but I'm going to go ahead and use PHP4 until you specifically tell me otherwise'.
Problem solved. Thanks, jackson!
This is happening to me, too. I can't install Pods 'cause it triggers a fatal error, and i know it's not running on PHP 5. In fact, my host said no one's ever asked for PHP5, so he's never bothered with it. Hopefully, i can get PHP 5, and use this plugin.
Thanks for this - helps clarify the problem!
