"Error: Access Denied" for certain Users

0

I'm using the Capability Manager plugin and have 2 roles defined:

  1. Administrator - User Level 10
  2. Editor - User Level 10

Under Pods > Roles i have all of the pod types checked for the "Editor" user role, yet whenever they try to delete an item (e.g. "State" or "Event") they get a popup saying: "Error: Access Denied"

I've found no additional settings and even checking everything under Pods > Roles causes the same error. Under the Administrator login, however, i can delete items just fine. I need help with this pretty badly. Thanks!

Well, i've found a temporary fix for it, but it's not very obvious. If you checkmark "manage content" it works. But this is not a solution since a. i don't want Editors to see the "Pods" menu item and b. the option to "manage x_pod" should do the trick already.

I have this exact problem. An Editor user gets access denied when deleting an item (although they can add and edit items in the Top Level Menu). If I add the "manage_content" permission for the Editor role, it works, but then they see the Pods menu which I also don't want.

This is a bug in Pods, but to solve it temporarily, try using the Pods UI plugin with your Top-Level Pod's menu item.
